The Club

Phoenix Futsal Club draws predominantly from NSFA & NWSFA. Its’ base is the Sydney North Shore. In 2025 the Phoenix home games will be played at Dural. The club plays in the FNSW NPL 2 competition. The Club prides itself on being a fair and family friendly club with high value placed on fair play and a friendly atmosphere. Our philosophy is

Teams:
Phoenix will select a representative team of 10-12 players for one team in each age group

  • Boys Academy (10-11), 12’s, 14’s, 16’s, Youth Men (19 & U), Men’s
  • Girls Academy (10-12), 13’s, 15’s, 18’s, Women’s
  • AWD (Athletes with a Disability)

Trials:
Trial dates, times and venues will be updated shortly.
Details will be posted on the Phoenix Web site and will be emailed to all players who have registered to trial. 

Selection Notification: 
Notification of selection will not be made on the day of trials. Notification of selection will be emailed 7 days after the second selection trial. It will be posted on the Phoenix Web site a week later. 

Fee Breakdown
As a club fully funded by player’s registration, we require players fees to be paid in full by round 1 unless a payment plan has been organised through Ros.

  1. FNSW Registration (Capitation and Insurance) – Playfootball
  2. Playing Fees (including full uniform costs) – Teampay – registration and deposit is due within 7 days of accepting your position with Phoenix Futsal Club and this is completed through TeamFeePlay – all instructions will be provided

Playing Fees:

  • As we are introducing a new uniform for 2026 all players are required to purchase the full kit.
  • Upon successful selection as a team member a part registration (non-refundable) fee of $600-00 is required at registration
  • “Train on” players will not be charged until their position is finalised – they will get a separate payment plan
  • Players who have not paid full fees by the start of the competition may not be able to participate in round 1
  • $50 discount if paying for a second (sibling) registration
  • Please note that FNSW Insurance and Capitation fees are now paid directly to FNSW when registering on the Play Football Platform for Phoenix Futsal Club – Phoenix Registrations will not be accepted until this is completed
  • Anyone experiencing financial hardship can apply to Ros Hunter for a confidential discussion.

Uniform:
We are introducing a new uniform in 2026

  • All players are required to purchase the new kit

Season Dates:

  • Training is 1* 1- 1.5 hour session per week per team, usually at, Pymble Ladies College (Mon), Mount St Benedict’s, Pennant Hills (Wed & Thu), Barker College MPH, Hornsby (Thu) or commencing mid-August. Training runs through school holidays up to 4 December. Training details finalised prior to the trials in July.
  • Trial matches will commence from 30 August 2025 (TBC) 
  • Competition (14 matches)
    • Round 1-14 – Saturday  September to Saturday  December 2026 (include 1 Sunday Match – September)
    • Finals series – 13 & 20 December 2026 (Semi & Finals) – Not for Academy
  • Home games are played at The Centre, Dural, commencing from 8:00am.

Sponsorship:
We are always seeking appropriate club or team sponsorships. Should a player secure a suitable sponsorship their playing fees will be reduced. Sponsorship packages are available for Club or Team. Contact Michael Vandervelde for more details.

Expectations:
During the season players are expected to attend training sessions held for 1 – 1.5 hours per week and be in attendance at all games. Players may also be asked to sit on the bench for the next age group. Please advise us early of any unavailability.

As a representative team, players are not guaranteed equal court time. This is up to the team coach however all coaches endeavour to give all players court time and aim to develop all players. For Semis and Finals coaches are able to play the players as they see fit to achieve the best outcome. 

All Phoenix Club members are required to show respect to players, coaches, spectators and officials. 

Parents and players are asked to support coaches and respect coaching decisions.

All players, parents and coaches are to display good sportsmanship at all times.

Game Day:
Players must arrive at least 45 minutes before their scheduled kick off time and wear their paying shorts, polo shirt and covered shoes (no thongs)

Game Day Parent roster:
Parents are rostered for the following functions: 2 crowd control officials – all games, 1 scorer/scoreboard operator – all home games
